About Us | Our Program
Core Pillars

Vision
To establish a community-anchored, holistic psychosocial support ecosystem that fosters resilience, joy, and agency among Palestinian children and their caregivers, operating with long-term sustainability and full transparency.
Child-Centered Play & Recreation:
- Regular Play Hubs: Establish consistent local spaces for ongoing play therapy sessions, free play, and art/music activities.
- "Joy Outings" Program: Monthly structured trips for sports, amusement parks, and nature exploration.
- Annual Summer Camps: Large-scale, volunteer-run summer camps providing intensive periods of structured play, peer connection, and mentorship. Volunteers will be rigorously vetted and trained in trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity.
Caregiver & Family Psychosocial Support
- Adult "Hope & Direction" Groups: Moving beyond initial consultations, these regular forums allow adults to guide program development based on their stated hopes for the future. Under the principle of "Nothing About Us Without Us" programming will be co-created.
- Adult Skill & Wellness Hubs: Directly responding to caregiver-identified needs, offering modules such as:
- Psychosocial first aid and stress management.
- English or other language classes.
- Exercise, yoga, or mindfulness classes.
- Nutritional workshops.
- Note: These are complementary to and explicitly not a substitute for specialised medical or mental healthcare. A clear referral pathway will be established.
Community Capacity Building
- Train and employ local facilitators, therapists, and camp coordinators.
- Develop a volunteer management pipeline for local and international volunteers, with robust training protocols.
Sustainability & Transparency Plan
Phased Growth
Start with one core location, document outcomes, then scale to additional communities.
Diverse Funding
Pursue grants, institutional partnerships, and a transparent public donation platform with clear earmarking options (e.g., "fund a child's camp week," "support a play hub")
Local Partnerships:
Embed the project within the fabric of trusted local organisations for logistical support, cultural guidance, and longevity.
Transparency Framework
- Publish annual impact reports with anonymized data on reach and key outcomes.
- Maintain a public-facing website with financial summaries, program updates, and stories (with informed consent).
- Form an advisory board including community representatives, mental health professionals, and ethical oversight experts.

Initial Implementation Focus:
The first expanded phase will target evacuated and displaced families, establishing a flagship "Play Hub" and launching the co-creation process with a core group of caregivers to design the initial Adult Wellness Hub offerings. Simultaneously, planning for the first large-scale summer camp will begin, focusing on volunteer recruitment and training.
This project aims to move from providing isolated relief to fostering enduring spaces of safety, growth, and hope, built on the direct input of the community it serves and operated with accountability and transparency at its core.
