At first light on Sunday 21st June 2026 (Litha - the Summer Solstice, Grianstad an tSamhraidh, a celebration of light and growth) you are invited to join in solidarity with people across the world to support the people of Palestine by climbing your nearest hill or mountain and raising a Palestinian flag, scarf, banner, etc. This simple gesture of connection is a signifier of hope on the day of the year with the most light in the northern hemisphere. In the midst of the continuing genocide in Gaza, hope is precious but also a considerable peaceful weapon in the face of the oppression of the Palestinian people and against the current campaign to silence those who support the Palestinian cause.

This marks the second year of Siúlóid Dóchais, and Neart Núr has been selected as this year’s recipient. Every euro raised will go directly to supporting this incredible cause.
